Helen Velasquez, passed away October 20, 2025, surrounded by the love and memories of her family. Born on October 23, 1938, in Los Angeles, she
leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.
Helen, along with her husband Bob, have been residents of the Ojai Valley, calling this home for over 60 years.
Helen worked at Continental EMSCO in Ventura and then with the Property Management and Investment firm, Hammer Hewson. She was respected
and admired by her colleagues for her strong work ethic and quiet professionalism.
Helen dedicated many years of her life to service through the Order of the Eastern Star, where she faithfully served and achieved the distinguished
role of Worthy Matron. Her leadership and compassion left a lasting impact on all who served alongside her.
Helen is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Velasquez and their children; Richard, David, Brian, Jack and Michael, their families, her
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister, Sandra Harris.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 21 from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm at Poinsettia Pavilion (Ventura Room) 3451 Foothill Road,
Ventura, California 93003. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
