GILMANTON --- Michael Anthony Burns, 89, of NH Route 140, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael was born on August 3, 1936, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late Francis Bernard Burns and Alice (St. Mary) Burns.
Michael was a proud US Army veteran. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the State of New York for over 23 years. He retired on December 29, 1999. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, gardening and spending time at his camp on Stump Pond.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Janice Burns; sons Mark Burns and John Burns; daughter Betsy Livingston and her husband Shawn; brother Edward Burns; and three grandchildren, Jack Burns, Connor Livingston and Liam Livingston. In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his sister Jackelyn O’Neil and his brother Robert Burns.
