Marie Rosanie Sylvaince, age 92, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the Brush Hill Care Center Nursing Home.
Born in Benet Jacmel, Haiti, she was the beloved daughter of the late Delfra Sylvaince and Rosana Laupe. Marie worked for many years as a dedicated doctor’s assistant and was a devoted communicant of St. Ann’s Church in New York City.
Marie found joy in the simple pleasures of life — swimming, gardening, fishing, and traveling. Her warmth, generosity, and lively spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Mackenson Jean Baptiste; six sisters, Marie Clelie Sylvaince, Delcame Jean Baptiste, Yo Christian Sylvaince, Christiene Sylvaince, Brune Sylvaince, and Sarah Alexis Laupe; her brother, Simon Sylvaince; and nieces, Marie Christine Auguste, Natasha Pantaleon, and Mirlande Jean Pierre.
Visitation will be held at the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Friday, November 7th, from 6–9 p.m.
Funeral services will take place at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8th, at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
