BUXTON- Danielle “Danny” Marie Shakley, age 37, passed away suddenly in her sleep on October 30th, 2025, while 28 weeks pregnant with Damien Charleshendric Wildes, who also didn’t survive.
She was born in Portland, Maine on May 5th, 1988, a daughter of surviving parents, Joan Marie Coffin and Harold Hendric Coffin, and her biological father, Micheal James Nelson. Danny is also survived by her brothers and sister, Tory Coffin of Wisconsin, Hardold Coffin of Gorham, Michael Nelson, Joseph Coffin of Buxton.
While in school Danny was on the tuffy football team, for Westbrook Rec, known as the toughest girl there.
She graduated in 2006, from Bonny Eagle High School, then attending some college for massage therapy and cosmetology, but never ended up getting her degree, as she dropped out to take care of her daughter, Joanmarie Priest.
Despite Danny struggling with Bipolar Disorder and Epilipsy, she was an amazing and caring person, who wore her heart on her sleeve.
After 10 years, she had her son, Carmon Donaldleo Thomas.
She went on to raise both kids to the ages 17 and 7, eventually getting pregnant with her son, Damien Charleshendric Wildes, Joseph Micheal Wildes being the father.
Danny is predeceased by her grandparents Louise and William Guthzeit, George Lunt, Carmon Coffin, Sandra Harmon and her uncle Donald Lunt.
She is survived by her grandmother Janet Coffin of Gorham and many aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.
A private, invitation only, service will be held in her honor, at a private location and undisclosed date.
