
Alicia Acosta Calderon, 91, of Ventura California, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2025. She was born June 21, 1934 in Rancho Sespe, Fillmore California to Ramon and Vicenta Acosta. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond, and sister Marina Armida and grandson Christopher Calderon.
At a young age she and her family moved from Fillmore, California to Santa Paula, California to Harvey Ranch. The family moved to Ventura California where she graduated from Ventura Senior High in 1953. She returned to Santa Paula where she met Benjamin M. Calderon, her husband of 70 years. In 1965 they built a new home in Saticoy, where they resided for 32 years, then moved to east Ventura to her current home in 1997. She was a lifetime resident of Ventura County.
Alicia Calderon was an educator receiving her teaching degree from UCSB. She worked for various school districts, Ventura Unified School District, Oxnard School District, and Pleasant Valley School District, and obtained her ultimate employment and retired from the State of California Youth authority where she was the Fire Camp Educator teaching general eduction to inmates.
She is survived by her beloved husband Benjamin, sons Fabian “Hermelinda”, Steve, Hector “Elba”, Carlos “Rachel”, and daughter Alicia Amy Delgadillo, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter and numerous family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers a contribution to Livingston Memorial Hospice and or the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
Visitation for Alicia will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive Ventura, California, with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 7pm. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday November 13, 2025 at 10am in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 10800 Henderson Road, Ventura, with burial to follow at Pierce Brother’s Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Road Santa Paula, California.
