Obituary



Worcester—Pauline (Campsie) Greene, 79, formerly of Friedel Street, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at the Craneville Place Nursing Home, Dalton. Her husband, William H. Greene, died in 2003. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda and her husband, Robert Merry, of Dalton and Leanne and her fiance, James Jezerski, of Dudley; her son, William C. Greene and his longtime companion, Laurie Towle, of N. Grafton; four grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Matthew Clark, of VT, Brian Merry of MD, Eric Merry of Dalton, and Jennifer Greene of Oxford; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Clark. A sister and two brothers predeceased her.

She was born in Ludlow, daughter of Andrew and Catherine (Duff) Campsie. She attended Wilbraham schools and graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield and received Administrative Assistant certification from Assumption College. Pauline worked for Kenna Metal Inc. in Springfield until moving to Worcester in 1948. She worked at H & R Block and Mechanics Bank, retiring in 1989. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Worcester.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home.
