James Terry Brooks, 59, of Irwinville, Georgia, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, October 31, 2025, at The Pauk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rex Johnson and the Rev. Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinetta Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Brooks was born June 20, 1966, in Irwin County, Georgia, to Roy R. & Geraldine Ethridge Brooks. He received his automotive mechanic training from Ben Hill Irwin Tech and was an independent HVAC contractor. Mr. Brooks enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved his family and his dog, Sally. Mr. Brooks was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Roy & Geraldine Brooks, he is survived by a sister, Charlene Brooks; a sister-in-law, Cecillia Allewine Brooks; one nephew; two nieces; three great-nephews; aunts: Sara Turner of Enigma and Mae Brooks of Fitzgerald. Numerous cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Mark Brooks.
