Kathleen M. Hanlon, born with the luck of the Irish on March 17, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Daniel E. and Anne V. Hanlon of Medway, and her beloved brother, Patrick F. Hanlon of Millis.
Kathleen is survived by her sister-in-law Deborah Hanlon of Millis; siblings Thomas Hanlon of Bradenton, FL; Mary Thayer and her husband Richard of Centerville, MA; Daniel Hanlon and his wife Jane of Plymouth, MA; and Michael Hanlon and his wife June of Woonsocket, RI.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she adored. Kathleen is also survived by her dear and longtime friend Eileen Hackett, of Pendleton, IN who was more like family than a friend.
A proud 1967 graduate of Medway High School, Kathleen was a standout athlete, excelling in basketball, softball, and field hockey. She went on to earn her degree from Cumberland College in Kentucky in 1971. She started her career as a physical education teacher in the Sudbury school system and a coach at Lincoln-Sudbury High School.
She then went on to launch a lifelong career fueled by her passion: the world of show dogs. Kathleen made her mark in that community with her sharp eye, unmatched dedication, and love for the animals she worked with. Her impact on that world will not be forgotten.
