THOMPSON – Henry J. Wonoski, 78, of Route 197, died Saturday, August 26, 2006.
He leaves 2 sons, Roy and Robbin; a daughter Lauri; 2 stepdaughters, Deborah and Lisa; a brother Victor; a sister Winnie Froehlich; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a longtime companion, Lucille Pikora.
He was born and raised in Woodstock, a son of Anthony and Bernice (Archieska) Wojnowski, and lived in Thompson 22 years. He was a master carpenter and handyman at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge and Stevens Linen Associates in Dudley and at various local mills. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church in Quinebaug and the Woodstock American Legion.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 11:00 AM in St. Stephen’s Church, corner of Routes 197 & 131. Donations may be made to the Woodstock American Legion, PO Box 111, Woodstock, CT 06281-0111.
