FRANK W. BARR, SR. OBITUARY
Frank Walter Barr, Sr., 75 passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at his home near Pine Flats.
Frank was born on the family farm near Pine Flats on December 2, 1949 to William and Beatrice (Weston) Barr.
Frank was a graduate of the Purchase Line High School.
On June 1, 1968 he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Hopkins and they have shared fifty-seven years of marriage.
Frank worked at various sawmills and seventeen years at McCreary Tire and Rubber Co. He worked at Polyvision until it closed.
He enjoyed working on the farm, hunting, fishing, woodworking and camping with his family.
Frank was a proud Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.
He is survived by his wife Linda and four sons and a daughter: Robert (Desiree); William (Brandy); Frank Jr. (Kathy); Michael (Debbie Jo) and Rebecca; his grandchildren: Jonathan (Pamela) Barr; Vincent (Anna) Lovejoy; Melanie (Jeffrey) Norris; Jacob (Kari) Barr; Jordan (Abraham) Botsford; Tyler (Elizabeth) Morgan; Hannah Barr; and Molly and Landon Spence; his great-grandchildren: Jase and Gage Barr; Arlo, Weston and Violet Lovejoy; Claire, Lauren and Coulby Norris, Charlie Barr, Silas and Anna Botsford, Gregory, Charlotte and Vernelia Morgan; his siblings: Richard (Joann) Barr, Beula (Ronald) Wolfe, and brothers-in-law: Wayne Meece and James Recupero and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents: William and Beatrice Barr and his siblings: Rozella (Darrell) Emigh; Greta Meece; William Wendell Barr; Vernelia Recupero; Elmer Barr and Nancy (George) Brocius.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Frank gifts can be made to: Team Expansion, 4112 Old Routt Road, Louisville, KY 40299 where Frank’s sister Greta and husband Wayne have ministered for many years.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA ,where Pastor Al Nolan will officiate. Interment will be at the McDowell Cemetery in Clymer, PA.
