WATERBORO – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra "Sandy" (Benner) Beaudoin, age 82, on October 21, 2025. Sandy passed away peacefully at The Lodges Assisted Living facility, surrounded by family following a courageous battle with Chronic COPD and congestive heart failure.
Born on June 22, 1943, in Brunswick, Maine, Sandy was the youngest daughter of the late Leland and Frances (Read) Benner. She graduated from Brunswick High School and pursued her passion for cosmetology at Pierre’s School of Beauty.
On June 20, 1964, Sandy married her high school sweetheart, John Albert Beaudoin, embarking on a lifelong journey of love, filled with faith, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to family.
Sandy devoted over 30 years of her life to nurturing young minds as a Title One Education Technician at Alfred Elementary School and Waterboro Elementary School. Her gentle patience, caring heart, and innate ability to make every child feel special left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues. Though she retired in 2008, Sandy never stopped being a teacher at heart.
Family was the center of Sandy's world. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whether cheering from the bleachers, celebrating milestones, or sharing her renowned baked goods. Sandy had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel loved and at home.
Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Beaudoin, in 2001, and her dear sister, Norma (Benner) MacDonald, in 2016. She is survived by her cherished children, Chris Beaudoin and his wife Catherine, and Kathy (Beaudoin) Gerry and her husband Jim. Sandy also leaves behind eight adored grandchildren—Miranda, Ryan, Sarah, Noah, Drew, Chloe, Laura, and John—and three treasured great-grandchildren, Carter, Mia, and Sophie, who brought immense joy to her life.
Sandy's kindness, humor, and unconditional love will be fondly remembered and carried forward by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A private graveside service will take place in the spring at Bowdoinham Bayview Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mainefuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sandy's memory.
