James Wade Kilpatrick, 51, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Greg Hester officiating. Mr. Kilpatrick will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Born September 5, 1974, in Adel, Mr. Kilpatrick was the son of Gloria Bennett Kilpatrick of Tifton and the late James Wade “Jimmy” Kilpatrick. In addition to his father, Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by one brother, Lenny Kilpatrick; an infant son, Cody Blake Earnest; his maternal grandparents; and his paternal grandparents. He worked as a metal machinist for Elite Structures but had worked for Double A Concrete for 14 years and drove the concrete mixer truck.
James loved to go crabbing and looking at vehicles at car dealerships. He enjoyed antique car shows and swap meets in Moultrie. One of his greatest joys was visiting with family and taking spontaneous road trips.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by his wife, Leslie Maton Kilpatrick of Tifton; two daughters, Leeann Simpson (Austin) of Enigma and Jasmine (Boogerbutt) Kilpatrick (Gavin Fogarty), both of Tifton; one stepdaughter, Katie Harvey of Tifton; two stepsons, Kendall Hinson of Enigma and Bubba of Tifton; one brother, Allen Kilpatrick (Nancy Howell) of Sparks; one sister, Kleasha (Quentin) Johnson of Tifton; two nieces, Amber Ballance (Cameron) of Sparks and Savannah Johnson (Bug) of Tifton; one great-nephew, River Ballance of Sparks; brother-in-law/son, Cody Edwards (Kassidy Sellars) of Tifton; two nephews, Gunner Edwards and Gauge Edwards, both of Tifton; Karen Kilpatrick of Tifton (mother of Jasmine Kilpatrick, Katie Harvey and Bubba); and a special friend, Wayne Davis.
