Alfred “Al” Perry Rodgers, 78, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, October 20, 2025, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Arp Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Luke Smith officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Rodgers was born January 22, 1947, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Perry Lee and Iris Louise Westbury Rodgers. He was a 1965 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Mr. Rodgers obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Valdosta State University. Mr. Rodgers was a licensed auctioneer and he owned and operated Al Rodgers Auction in Ocilla, Georgia for over 30 years. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vickie Paulk Rodgers; stepson, Chad Paulk; brother-in-law, Nelson (Faye) Paulk and a sister-in-law, Diane Rodgers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Rodgers; sister, Gina Rodgers McEachern and his grandparents: Joe and Edna Rodgers and Alfred and Louisa Westbury.
