John Greene, 76, of Franklin, MA, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025.
Born on March 14, 1949, in Milford, MA, John spent his life in Massachusetts, where he built a meaningful career and lasting relationships.
John worked for many years in real estate and also served the community through his work at the Framingham Post Office.
Known for his easygoing nature and sense of humor, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—especially dining out and watching sports with his longtime partner, Susan.
Above all, John was a loving lifelong partner, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved partner of 43 years, Susan Bassignani (his Susie); his stepchildren, Michael Bassignani, Kelly Longo, and the late David Bassignani; his grandchildren, Luke, Angela, Kate, Hope, Gianna, and Benjamin; and his great-grandchildren, Joseph, Kady, Grace, Vivian, Anthony, and William. His love for his family was unwavering, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Thursday, October 23rd, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11AM.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Franklin Food Pantry, a cause close to the family's heart.
