
Francisco B. Ormonde, 70 of Hudson, NH passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Premier Nursing Home in Nashua, after a long battle with dementia and later Parkinson’s Disease. He was the husband of Maria Ines (Pacheco) Ormonde, with whom he shared the last 45 years.
He was born on September 16, 1955 in Terceira, Azores, Portugal and was a son of the late Manuel Ormonde and the late Maria (Silveira Borges) Ormonde. He was raised in Terceira, where he attended the area schools.
In 1975, Francisco came to the United States, settling in the Back Central Street neighborhood of Lowell until the early 1980s. He later made his home in Pawtucketville for many years before moving to Hudson, NH, following his retirement.
Francisco was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Lowell. He had a deep love for soccer and was a proud supporter of the Sporting team. He also enjoyed fishing, especially along the Cape Cod Canal. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.
A hardworking man, Francisco began his career as a truck driver for Fletcher Granite, where he worked for many years. He later worked as a custodian at Tewksbury State Hospital for six and a half years before retiring in 2018.
In addition to his beloved wife, Maria, he is survived by his children, Jason Ormonde and his wife, Danielle of Nashua, NH, Emanuel Ormonde and his wife, Alexis of Nottingham, NH
He is also survived by his siblings, John Ormonde and his wife, Filomena of Lowell, Augustino Ormonde and his wife, Rose of Lowell, William Ormonde of Maine, Fernanda Dinis of Terceira, Azores, and Vivelina Goncalves of Terceira, Azores; his sister in law, Humberta Ormonde of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, the late Jose Ormonde.
On Monday, October 20, 2025 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 8-10 a.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell 978-458-6816. His funeral mass will be offered at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 893 Central Street, Lowell; followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury.
