Obituary

SCARBOROUGH- Bonnie S. Blake Hawkes, formerly of Standish,
age 79, passed away on October 17, 2025, at The Enclave in the
memory care unit. She was born in Portland, Maine on April 9,1946,
The daughter Jackson E. and Natalie J. Ashton Blake. She was raised
in Westbrook and was a 1964 graduate of Westbrook High School.
She also graduated from Westbrook Junior College. She worked as
a bookkeeper at various companies in Maine and NH.
Bonnie loved the outdoors and nature. She enjoyed skiing, hiking, swimming,
and flower gardens. She was one of the founding volunteers for raising
money for the BEHS football team startup program. She also was a big
support for the Boy Scouts. She was an amazing cook with many family
dessert favorites like sheetcake, tarts, and pies. She enjoyed sewing, quilting,
and craft projects. Bonnie was a great wife and mother. She dedicated
her life to her family.
She is survived by husband Alan Hawkes of Standish, sons
Duncan MacDougall of Standish, Troy Hawkes his wife Allyce of Standish,
Stepson Adam Hawkes of Standish, grandsons, Andrew, Mathew, Blake, and
Charles Hawkes of Standish. A sister Jennifer, a cousin Linwood Ashton,
plus many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Diana.

A graveside service will be held Wed. October 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at
Hamlin Cemetery in Richville on Boundary Road in Standish followed by
a reception at the Richville Library, 743 Richville Road, at the
intersection of Cole Hill Road in Standish.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday October 25, 2025, at the
Richville Library from 1 to 3 PM.
