Obituary


Kenneth Irwin Dean, 72, a lifelong resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully at his home on October 15.

Born in Milford on June 24, 1953, Ken was the son of the late Robert I. and Emilia (Krizko) Dean. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1971 and dedicated much of his life to serving the Franklin community.

Over the years, Ken worked as a deliveryman for Bullukian Oil Company, the Franklin Department of Public Works, and later became a dispatcher for the Franklin Fire Department. In his earlier years, he was also a proud member of the Franklin Call Fire Department.

Ken had a passion for motorcycles and a fondness for classic television shows, which brought him joy and comfort throughout his life.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Dean of Fairhaven, Janet Bederian of Franklin, and Marcia (Jack) McAuley of Stoughton. Ken was predeceased by his brother, Robert Dean and his brother- in-law, Larry Bederian. He also leaves behind his niece and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s memory to the Franklin Food Pantry or the Franklin Senior Center, organizations that reflect his connection to the community he called home.
