SOUTH PORTLAND- Dana Lee Bragdon, 63, of So. Portland, ME passed away on October 2nd, 2025, peacefully after a brief illness.
He was born in Portland, ME on March 9, 1962, a son of the late Sumner Earl Bragdon and Isabelle (Bragg) Bragdon. Dana grew up in Scarborough Maine where he attended all his school years there. He also met his high school sweetheart there and had one daughter who was his one true love in life.
Dana was a jack of all trades type of man; working for Midas a short time on different vehicles, Keely Construction for many years with a crew that became family. They built some of the biggest building in downtown Portland including Back Bay Towers. He drove 18-wheelers cross country so was able to see many different states & cities for Joe Bessy Transportation and Smith’s Trucking. He was also a former Town of Standish employee before retiring and surviving an accident where he burned 80% of his body back in 2015.
Dana was an outdoors man at heart who loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid hunter who tagged many deer in his day. He enjoyed spending time up North 4-wheeling & side-by-siding with his daughter & family soaking up the scenes of Maine. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, working on cars and was a Nee England Sports Fan at heart who you could count on him watching any of these teams when they were playing. The Celtics, Patriots, Boston’s Red Sox’s and Boston Bruins.
Dana is predecessor by a sister Jan Bragdon of Old Orchard Beach, ME. He is survived by his daughter Jessica Lynn and Husband John Doucette, three grandchildren Jenna, Jamie and Jaylynn all of Buxton, ME. A sister Cheryl Bragdon of So. Portland, ME and another sister Sandy Winters of Lewiston, ME with many nieces and nephews.
