FEDERICO, Grace M. (DiCenso) of Westwood, and Falmouth, formerly of West Roxbury and Roslindale, passed away on October 7, 2025, at Brigham and Womens Hospital at the age of 73. She passed quietly and comfortably surrounded by family. She is the beloved wife of Nino R. Federico for 50 years. Devoted mother of William Federico and his wife Meghan of Franklin, Joseph Federico and his wife Dana of RI., Lori Prescott and her husband Drew of Westwood, Kristen Henderson and her husband Mathew of Plainville, the late Katie Federico, and daughter of the late Ostilio and Irma DiCenso. She was the loving Nonna of Luca, Chase, Cole, Everette, and Jason. Dear Sister-in-law to Dorothy and the late Gino Federico of FL, Aunt of Corinna Gallo and Michael Federico. Although Grace was an only child, she shared deep, sibling-like bonds with her cousins from childhood and lifelong friendships from her school days.
Grace lovingly carried on her Italian heritage through the meals she prepared and the gatherings she created—her table was always open, a place where family and friends came together to share food, stories, and love. Holidays and everyday moments alike were made special by her presence, her cooking, and her unwavering care for others. On Cape Cod, she found peace and joy beside Nino, savoring ocean breezes, morning coffees at Dunkin’, spontaneous conversations with strangers who quickly became friends, and every treasured moment with her grandsons. Her absence leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved her, but her warmth, spirit, and the love she gave so freely will be felt forever.
