Michael Glynn of Roslindale, formerly of Bengarra, Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland, passed away on October 5, 2025. Beloved husband of Katherine “Kathleen” (O’Driscoll) Glynn. Dear brother of Patrick Glynn and his wife Margaret of Norwood, Mary McLaughlin and her late husband Joseph of Marblehead, Joseph Glynn and his partner Irene Murphy, Gerry Glynn and his wife Mary, Nora “Nonnie” Touhey and her husband Anthony all of Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland, his late sisters Celia Staunton, and Bernadette Shields. Brother-in-law of Sean Staunton of West Roxbury and Jack Shields of ME. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his devoted friend Billy O’Neill.
Michael was the owner of Glynn Plumbing Co. for many years. He was devoted to his wife, family, friends, and his passion for gardening and music.
He loved to share his fond memories of his youth in Ireland and treasured many trips home.
Michael was an active member of the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton and the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Wednesday, October 15th at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting Hours Tuesday, October 14th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the Funeral Home.
