Obituary

Mr. Michael J. Saliby, a resident of Bennington, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, Ma passed away at the Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare center in Haverhill on Tuesday evening, October 7, 2025. He was 71 years old.

Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, on June 25, 1954, Michael was the beloved son of Emeline A. (Gavioli) Saliby of Haverhill and the late Joseph Saliby. Michael was a Vietnam Navy veteran, entering the military in Andover on February 20, 1973 and receiving his honorable discharge from the Naval Station in San Diego, California. Michael worked as an Electronic Technician on the USS Chicago while serving in the Navy. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his exemplary service.

In civilian life, Mr. Saliby was employed as an Electronic Technician for many years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, running marathons and playing golf. He also had an extensive collection of guns. His favorite saying was, “I’m like a bad rash, I keep coming back”. Michael will
be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving mother Emeline A. (Gavioli) Saliby of Haverhill, twin sister; Deborah Saliby of Andover and nephew; Richard "Benjamin" Greer of Los Angeles, California.

Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
