Obituary

Stanley John Capelli Jr. 61 years old of Ojai Ca, passed away peacefully at home on September 22nd 2025 after a courageous battle against cancer. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and their two children.
Born in Ventura Ca to Stanley John Capelli Sr. and Vicki Jean Pennington on October 18, 1963. He attended High school in Lake Havasu, Az. He shortly after moved to Mammoth Lakes Ca, where he met his wife, Sue. He soon after relocated back to Ventura and became a sheet metal journeyman, which led to his success as a business owner alongside his wife. Eventually Stan was recruited to represent other HVAC and Sheet Metal contractors across California. His passion for the industry, subject matter expertise, and exceptional ability to build relationships elevated his value as a leader, making him sought after in his mentorship. Stan was highly respected both locally and nationally.
In addition to the love of his work, Stan was an avid outdoorsman, skillful hunter and brilliant fisherman. He also enjoyed many ski trips nationally and ball games at Dodger Stadium.
His love for his family was his greatest success of all. Stan thrived on loving people. Especially his family whom he upheld and shared many traditions with. Stan is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Joy Capelli, and his children, Jarette Micheal Capelli (Emily and children) and Shelbey Joy Ludwig (Steven and children), his two brothers, many nieces and nephews whom he mentored and loved, his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, and his father Stanley John Capelli Sr. (Fran) who is the role model for his passions and hard work ethic. He is proceeded in death by his mother Vicki Jean Briggle.
