John Joseph Pellicio, a devoted husband, father, and longtime resident of Billerica Massachusetts (formerly of Everett) passed away on October 6, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was 78 years old.
Born on October 25, 1946, in Stoheham, Massachusetts, John was the son of Marie (DiNuccio) Pellicio and John Joseph Pellicio. He grew up in Everett and graduated from Everett High School in 1964. He went on to attend Northeastern University, laying the foundation for a life marked by dedication and hard work.
John built a remarkable career with Boston Gas Company—later known as National Grid—in Malden, Massachusetts. Over the course of more than five decades with the company, he became known for his commitment and dedication. His long tenure is a testament to his strong work ethic and loyalty.
Outside of his professional life, John found joy in simple pleasures. He had a deep love for football and sports in general, often spending time following games and sharing that passion with others. Gardening brought him peace and satisfaction, while his daily morning walks were a routine that kept him connected to health, nature and his community.
John’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara (Kenney) Pellicio; his son Jeffrey Pellicio of Houston, Texas; and his daughter Jannell Pellicio of Wilbraham, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his parents and by his son John Thomas Pellicio.
John’s memory will live on through those who knew him best—his family, friends, and all who shared in the many chapters of his life. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant Street in Malden. A graveside service will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
