Thomas William Colby Sr, of South Boston, passed away peacefully on October 3rd.
Born on April 20, 1942 in Boston, Ma, to the late James and Rose (Dauwer) Colby.
Beloved husband of the late Ann (Brown).
Survived by his five children; Thomas Jr. of South Boston, Karen and her husband Brian of Raynham, Cheryl and her husband John of Bridgewater, Kimberly and her husband Lorenzo of Malden, and John and his partner Elizabeth of Peabody. Loving Grandpa to Tammy, Richard (Richie), Brendan, Emily, Brianna, Brett and Ryan.
Great Grandpa to Adam, Kennedy, Gemma, James, Nathan and Ann. Brother to Alice Tallent and Cynthia Jones, the late Dorothy (Dottie), Barbara (Barbie), James (Jimmy), Grace (Sissy), John Michael and Patricia.
Thomas lived a beautiful life full of love. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, watching wrestling, old western movies, drawing, having sweet treats and most importantly, spending time with his family. He enjoyed telling jokes and sharing stories about his life. Thomas was full of sarcasm and one liners that you could never forget. His sense of humor and smile lit every room he walked into. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Friday, October 10th from 4:00-8:00 pm. Followed by a Mass at the Gate of Heaven Church , 615 East Fourth Street South Boston Saturday, October 11th at 10:00 am. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
