Philip Donald Reynolds, 88, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital, with his family lovingly by his side. He was the devoted husband of Patricia Elizabeth (Mahoney) Reynolds, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary this past April.
Born in Meriden, Connecticut on October 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Charles Reynolds and Eleanor (Dutra) Reynolds. He was raised and educated in Somerville, where he was affectionately known as “Buster.” After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, Philip returned home, where fate led him to meet Patricia at a local gas station. Their connection was immediate, and together they began their life in Tewksbury in 1966, raising a family that became his greatest joy.
Philip enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. An afternoon at Jade East with a Mai Tai and a game of Keno was his favorite way to relax. He was also a longtime member of the Elks. He loved playing scratch tickets, creating cards and crafts on his computer to share with family and friends, and cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Brandy.
For more than 40 years, Philip worked as a dedicated printer at W.E. Andrews in Bedford, MA, where his reliability and strong work ethic were admired.
Above all, family was the center of his world. He is survived by his children: Earl Foy and his wife Dianne of Bedford, Peter Foy of Tewksbury, Linda Lee (Reynolds) Brunet of Pepperell, Kathleen Cooney and her husband Glen of Tewksbury, and Michael Reynolds of Tewksbury. He was the proud grandfather of nine: Brenden Foy, Lindsay Foy, Kylie Foy and her husband Dan Conway, Andrea Piper and her husband Basil, Mark Brunet Jr., Kaitlyn Brunet, Shannon Artz and her husband Matthew, Samantha Brunet, and Lauren Toleson and her husband Christopher. He was also blessed with 20 great-grandchildren: Riley, Noah, Ella, Connor, Cody, Matthew, Mackenzie, Logan, Lillian, Ethan, Grayson, Benjamin, Stevie-Lynn, Madelyn, Elizabeth, Torin, Ayden, Griffin, Evelyn, and Tilly.
He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members including Mary and Bob DiGuardia and Irene Mahoney, with whom he shared a special bond. He was predeceased by his siblings Howard Reynolds, Ruth Longo, Paul Reynolds, and June Babwin.
On Friday, October 10, 2025 his funeral services, including military honors and burial will take place at 11 a.m. at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
