FALL RIVER … Charles A. Frascatore, 73, of Langley Street; Fall River died Monday, August 28, 2006 after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Muriel (Orton) Frascatore.
He was born in Fall River a son of Annette (Pouliot) Frascatore of Fall River and the late Charles S. Frascatore and had been a life long resident of Fall River.
He died at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was a communicant of Holy Name Church where he had been a collector for the 8:30 Sunday Masses.
He was employed by Bristol Community College in the math department. He had retired from B.M.C. Durfee High School as a Math Teacher in 1993 after 32 years of service.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been a graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School class of 1951, earned his BS from the former Durfee Technical School known as U Mass Dartmouth in 1961 and a Masters in Education from Bridgewater State University in 1965.
Mr. Frascatore was a member of the Thomas Chew Boys and Girls Club in Fall River, Am vets of Fall River; in 1999 he was inducted into the U Mass Dartmouth Hal of Fame for Basketball. He was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Yankees.
Survivors include his widow and mother, 2 sons: Brian Frascatore and James J. Frascatore and his wife Donna M. all of Fall River, a sister Anne Marie Drake of Durand, MI, a granddaughter Jenna M. Frascatore of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Steven C. Frascatore.
Private services are in the care of SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. A memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 10AM at Holy Name Church, Hanover Street, Fall River.
