Emily Georgia Porter Obituary (my much-loved friend and cousin)
Emily Georgia Porter, 65, of Camarillo CA passed away August 31, 2025.
Emily was born in Ventura Ca on September 21, 1959, to Jay and Judith Porter. She graduated from Ventura High School and continued her education with a B.S. degree in Applied Math from Cal Poly University. She later attended Cal Lutheran University where she earned her Credentials in Special Education, Ed Specialist Mild through Severe.
Emily was employed by The Arc of Ventura County as an Independent Living Instructor. She volunteered with many organizations throughout her life, including Food Share of Ventura County and most recently Olivas Adobe in Ventura.
Emily is survived by cousins, Wendy Robinson of Ventura Ca, Jeff Robinson of Oxnard Ca, Karen Burlage of Brookfield Wi, Margaret Humphries of Scotts Valley Ca, Charles Porter of Blacksburg Va, Christina Porter of Waldorf Md, Dorothy Porter of Drexell Hills Pa, and Zealand Porter of Boston Ma. She is preceded in death by her Father Jay Porter, Mother Judith Porter, Stepmother Dee Porter, and Sister Leslie May Bell.

Family and friends are invited to a Remembrance Service to be held Saturday October 18th, 2025 from 1PM to 3PM at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
