Obituary

Paul Philip Revell, 89, of Medway, died peacefully on September 30, 2025, at Medway Country Manor following a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Roberta L. (Grenon) Revell for the past 23 years and was previously married to the late Dorothy (McKay) Revell, with whom he shared many years and raised his family.

Born in Medway on December 8, 1935, the son of the late Leo and Delia (Stearns) Revell, Paul was a lifelong resident of the town he cherished. The original house in which he was born once stood on the very property where he lived until his passing.

A hardworking man from the start, Paul began earning a living at the age of six by delivering eggs to his neighbors. Coming out of the Great Depression, he raised beagles for hunting. As a teenager, he worked the night shift as a bowling pin setter on Village Street, often earning a generous ten dollars in tips after a long night’s work. He later pumped gas at the station on the corner of Holliston and Main Streets (Gormley’s Corner) and worked for about 12 years at Ruberoid, make roofing products.

For 33 years, Paul proudly drove a cement mixer for Rosenfeld Concrete in Hopedale, earning a commendation from Governor Michael Dukakis for his perfect driving record. Yet his truest calling remained close to home — as a dedicated local farmer throughout his life.

Paul found immense joy in working the land and tending to “his girls,” the cows who were his daily companions, especially the newborn calves. He delighted in telling stories of bringing his six young daughters down to the farm to help roll hay bales into neat rows. His sons joined him in caring for the cows and clearing trees to expand the pastures he loved. Paul was also an avid story teller and always had a looooong 5 minutes to bend a friendly ear recounting years of old and so many happy adventures.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children Paula Cutler of Millis, Diane Glowka of Eaton, Ohio, Philip Revell of Medway, and Judith Stewart of Webster; and by his stepchildren Kimberly Lewis of Wrentham, Massachusetts, Sabrina Green of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Geoffrey Green of Cumberland, Rhode Island.

He was predeceased by his children Pamela Revell, Linda Revell, Deborah Revell, and Peter Revell, as well as by his stepson Samuel S. Green.

Paul is also survived by his sister Irene Mallozzi of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and was the brother of the late Leo Revell, James Revell, Isabelle (Revell) Cribby, Joseph Revell, Mary (Revell) Sadler, and Joanne (Revell) Dangelo. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery on Oakland Street in Medway.

Immediately following the burial, there will be a reception at Basil Restaurant at 43 Frairy Street in Medfield from 1 - 3:30pm. Please join us to support the family and recount your stories and memories of Paul.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Medway Community Farm, 50 Winthrop Street, Medway, MA.
