Domenic R. Prato of Needham, formerly of Somerville, passed away on September 28, 2025. Beloved husband of Alice “Eileen” (O’Sullivan) Prato. Dear brother of Mary Ann Aborn of Somerville and the late Salvatore “Richard” Prato. Devoted uncle of Michelle, Marlene, and Mark Aborn.
Domenic was a graduate of the Boston University College of Engineering earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked as a Civil Engineer for the City of Somerville for over 35 years.
Domenic served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Visiting in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, on Thursday, October 2nd from 12:30pm to 1:00pm. Followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
