Obituary

Linda C. Paquin, 73, passed away quietly on Sept 26, 2025 in Worcester, MA, surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer. Linda was born on June 12, 1952, in Worcester, MA, the youngest of three children to Maurice and Empi Dufva. She is survived by her daughter Heather Paquin of Charlton, MA, nieces Robin Hassett, Holly Hassett, Linda Roach and husband Phil Roach, Christine Dunham and husband Andy Dunham, nephew Matthew Tolic and wife Kandice Tolic, great nieces Ash Paquette, Mollie Tolic, Paige Tolic, Stella Dunham, Sadie Tolic, great nephew Riley Dunham and many close friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her sisters Carol Hassett (2001), Beverly Tolic (2024).

Linda started her 47-year research technician career with Mason Research and then moved to UMass Medical School working on cancer and diabetes research. She helped train generations of students, grad students, PHDs, and researchers in countless procedures and surgeries.

She was a mother to many more than her own beloved daughter. She will always be a rainbow of beauty, a beacon in the darkness, a hug when you needed one. Linda lived life on her terms and faced all challenges head-on. Mighty Linda lives on in all those who knew her. She will be missed but still remains.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 33 Patch Reservoir Dr, Worcester, MA 01602 on Oct 11th from 1-3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her favorite charity, the Center for Coastal Studies. (https://coastalstudies.org/donate/)
