Obituary

George A. Grenier, 64, of Hooksett, NH died Sunday August 27, 2006 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Mr. Grenier was born in Leominster, MA on June 4, 1942, a son of the late Nelson and Naomi (Tremblay) Grenier. He resided most of his life in Manchester before moving to Hooksett 15 years ago. Mr. Grenier served with the Air National Guard for 17 years. He was a Teamster with the Local 633 in Manchester for 35 years and retired from ABF (Arkansas Best Freight) of Londonderry, NH in 1999. He held memberships in the American Legion and the Deerhead Sportsman Club, both of Hooksett. He enjoyed gardening and was well known for his homemade horseradish recipe.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara (Morse) Grenier of Hooksett, four stepchildren, Joni Iarrobino of Bedford, NH, Jeffrey Spring of Weare, NH, Christopher Contos of Auburn, NH and Atheena Kubsch of Florida, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest Grenier.
Following cremation, friends may call on Thursday August 31, 2006 from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
