PETRUZZELLI, Rudy of Norwood, formerly of Dedham, September 25, 2025. Beloved husband of Diana (Giammarco) Petruzzelli. Devoted father of Stephen Petruzzelli and his wife Florence of Hull, Melissa Russell and her husband Gary of West Roxbury, and Brian Petruzzelli of Hermosa Beach, CA. Papa of Matthew, Jonathan, Anthony, and James. Brother of Augustine Petruzzelli and his wife Phyllis of Jamaica Plain and the late Frank and Joseph Petruzzelli. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Rudy was an employee of the Massachusetts Port Authority and a member of the Dedham Boosters, Boston Lodge of Elks #10, and proud member of The Teamsters.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Monday, Sept. 29 from 4-7pm. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Denis Church, Westwood at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rudy’s memory to the American Red Cross. In 2010 a good samaritan saved Rudy’s life when he went into cardiac arrest. Everyone should learn CPR. redcross.org
