With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Miriam Alvarado, 88, on September 24, 2025 of Lynn, MA. Miriam was born in 1937 in Guatemala. Her greatest pride and joy was always her family. She loved making jokes, keeping tradition and culture alive through her cooking of delicious Guatemalan dishes and enjoyed a great game of cards “poker” with the family.
Preceded in death by her children Estuardo Yaquian, Yovani Yaquian. She is survived by her children Ruth Morales, Luis Munoz, Jorge Castellanos, Iliana Castellanos, Miriam Sandoval, and Patricia Castellanos.
She will always be remembered by her beloved grandchildren- Edgar Morales, Monica Morales, Adriana Matul Morales, Kelly Morales, Anthony Sandoval, Katherine Sandoval, Edwin Estrada, Andrea Trejo, and Alfredo Barbosa. As well her great-grandchildren- Julissa Morales Lu, Alexander Morales Quevedo, Eric Morales, Jayleen Matul Morales, Aaron Morales, Julian Matul, Adriel Quevedo-Morales, Joziah Matul and Noah Morales Martinez.
Visitation services will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Casper Funeral located at 187 Dorchester St, Boston, MA.
Miriam, better known as “abuela”, you will never be forgotten, you will live in our hearts and will cherish our memories of you forever. Until we meet again.
