Angela Christine Flaxington, 56, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2025.
The second of five daughters born to the late Anna and Robert Flaxington, Angela grew up in Smithfield and graduated from Smithfield High School in 1987. She spent some time traveling, residing for a time in Maryland, where she made many lasting memories.
Throughout her life, Angela developed an extended family of friends through her many years of work at Larry’s Lounge and Cracker Barrel. Her many nieces and nephews fondly remember visiting her at Larry’s Lounge where she and her regulars would dote on them with free snacks. Her warmth, sense of humor and welcoming spirit made an impression on all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the stories and laughter shared with the countless lives she touched.
She is survived by her sisters, Julie Flaxington, Cynthia Dragon, and Barbara Andrews; her nieces and nephews, Crystal (Michael), Joshua, Kayla, Natalie, Cameron (Jessica); her grand-nieces and grand-nephew, Juliana, Chloe and Chandler; her partner Philip Therien; and the many, many lasting friendships she made over the years. In addition to her late parents, Angela is also preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Flaxington.
Her visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A funeral service will be at 6:45pm
