Thomas P. Cashman, 59, of Rockland, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Born on April 29, 1966 in Stoughton, MA, Tom was the son of the late Paul and Joyce (Burns) Cashman. He was raised in Whitman, MA, and graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1984. Tom lived in Florida for many years before eventually returning to Massachusetts where he made his home in Rockland for the past fifteen years.
Tom is survived by his son, Matthew Cashman of Foxboro, MA; his brother Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Cashman of Hingham, MA; and his longtime companion, Deborah Williams of Rockland, MA. Tom was an uncle to Brady, Bennett and Brooke Cashman. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who will miss him dearly.
Tom dedicated his entire career to the construction industry. Over the years, he completed numerous commercial and residential projects, including many design-build luxury homes and too many decks, additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels to count. He was a proud member of the Carpenter’s Union who later owned and operated his own general contracting business. Throughout his career, Tom built lasting relationships with clients and friends who greatly admired his craftsmanship especially as a finish carpenter. He was a true friend to all and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. Known as the guy who could fix anything, Tom’s skills and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Tom had a lifelong love of motorcycles, boats, ATV’s, and RV’s, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Tom was a competitor and enjoyed participating in several dart and pool leagues with his friends. A dedicated Boston sports fan, he loved watching the Celtics and especially enjoyed Sunday afternoons watching Patriot games with Deb, his four Rottweilers and Pitbull.
All services will be private, and the family is grateful for the love and support from all who knew him.
