Beverly Ann (Weir) Harrington, age 82, of Medford passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22nd, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. A lifelong Medford resident, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Weir, and Peter and Bernadette A. (Andrews) Collura. Beverly cherished time with her family, and her favorite gatherings were ones with chocolate treats and a game of Scat! When enjoying time on her own, she could often be found indulging in a bowl of mocha fudge frozen yogurt while watching the Red Sox or a medical drama. Bev loved playing slots at the casino and playing online games with friends all over the world.
Beverly was the beloved wife of the late John A. “Art” Harrington, and the devoted mother of Lisa Quimby and her husband James, Amy Milano, Elizabeth Douglass and her husband Glen, Gail Powderly and her husband Kevin, Jayne LaFlamme and her husband Robert, and the late William F. Meagher, Jr. She was the loving grandmother of Melissa, Alyssa, Devin, the late Michael, Jessica, Joseph and his wife Jessica, Kaitlyn and her husband Chris, Ryan and his wife Kitty, Nikolaus, Jason and his wife Allie, and Crystal. Beverly was the loving great grandmother of Landon, Madeleine, Evan, Logan, Dylan, Huxley and Sawyer, and the dear sister of Michael Collura and his wife Karen, Susan and Annette Collura, Paul Collura and his wife Carol, the late Peter Collura and his wife Rita, and the late David Collura. She is also survived by her cherished grand-dogs: Tyson, Jasper and Bristol.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 28th from 2 to 4:30 pm in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, concluding with a funeral service at 4:30 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Beverly’s name to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
