Terrise (Terri) Ruddiman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 15, 2025 at age 97. Terri was born on August 27, 1928 in Ventura CA, to Marguerite (Margaret) Hahn and Zane Steenrod. She grew up in Ventura and later moved to Hollywood where she met her lifelong love, William (Bill) Ruddiman. They married on August 25, 1947 in Alameda, CA. They raised two sons, Daniel and Dale, and a daughter, Denise.
Terri worked for more than seventy years, much of that as an administrative assistant at Cal State Northridge and later at a small nonprofit in the San Fernando Valley. In her younger years, she enjoyed reading, singing, acting and drawing. In her later years, she enjoyed musicals, Dodger games, trips to the movies, shopping and spending time with her husband and family. A true animal lover, she adored all her pets, especially her beloved dog, Bella. Sweet treats, dining out, and trips to Target were just a few of her favorite things.
Terri was preceded in death by her father, Zane, her mother, Margaret, her husband, Bill, and their eldest son, Daniel. She is survived by her son Dale Ruddiman (Naoko) and daughter Denise Wright (Richard); grandchildren Melinda, Lisa, Ryan, Ashley and Sora; and great-grandchildren Michelle, Brooklynn, Hailey, Joseph and Daniel.
Family and friends are invited to funeral services to be held on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street East Main Street, Ventura at 11:30a.m. with interment to immediately follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
