Gerald J. ”Shorty” Dumont 83 formerly of 1 Main St. died Saturday in Woonsokcet Health Center. He was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Victor and Laura (Garneau) Dumont. Mr. Dumont worked at Florence Dye for many years, he than workedin the Housekeeping Dept. of Zamborano Hospital for eleven years before retiring.
Mr. Dumont is survived by three sisters Anita Demarzi of Franklin, Florence Palkovish of Woonsocket and Joan Regine of Providence. He was also the brother of the late Arthur, Armand, Roland, Henry, Emile and Therese
Dumont, Lillian Geromini, Bertha Rochefort, and Cecile Ristaino.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 10:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. with a service in the funeral home at 11:00. Buiral will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
