RUFFINI, Diana L. (Rotondi) of Dedham, formerly of Roslindale, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2025.
Daughter of the late Bob and Ida Rotondi. Beloved wife of Richard Ruffini. Devoted mother of Rick Ruffini and his wife Alyssa of Rockland, and Alicia Ruffini and her partner MacKenzie of Charlotte, NC. Cherished Nana and “Diti” of Raya, Liliana, Johnny, Evander, and Peyton. Loving sister of Robert Rotondi, Helen Rotondi, and Robin Dellot, and the late Stephen Rotondi, Richard Rotondi, Lois Satter, and John Rotondi. Diana is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Diana was a fierce protector of her children and a devoted wife to her husband of more than 50 years. She found her greatest joy in her large, close-knit family—especially her grandchildren. Her days were filled with music in the background and the oven warming, as she lovingly prepared meals for family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, sharing food, laughter, and stories around the table.
She was also a proud member of the Port Norfolk Yacht Club of Dorchester, where she enjoyed many friendships and gatherings over the years.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 4-7pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday Sept. 25 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 10am (accessible parking in the rear of the church). Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
