Ryan Robert Couture, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home.
Born in Lowell on January 27, 1976, he was the beloved son of Maureen D. (Pierce) Couture of Lowell and the late Robert D. Couture. Ryan was raised and educated in the city, graduating from Greater Lowell Technical High School.
A talented and hardworking man, Ryan spent much of his career in contracting, focusing on electrical and construction projects throughout the Greater Lowell area. Known for being handy and resourceful, he was always quick to lend a hand whenever someone needed help.
Outside of work, Ryan found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved cooking and grilling, camping under the stars, and taking long walks with his dogs, who were his loyal companions. The outdoors was where he felt most at peace, but his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, Maureen, Ryan is survived by his brother, Eric Couture of Lowell; his nephew, Caleb Couture of Pelham; his aunt, Carol Pierce of Pelham; as well as many cousins, extended family, and friends who will remember him for his generosity, his BIG HEART and kind spirit.
On Monday, September 22, 2025 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816.
