James T. Dolan III, age 77, passed away on September 13, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 12, 1947 in Burlington, VT, son of the late James T. Dolan Jr and Rita E. (Audette) Dolan. James worked as a security guard for the Federal Building and also worked in the Corrections Department for the State of CT for over 20 years before he retired. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Mary (Hurley) Dolan of Chicopee; two daughters, Erinn Dolan of Chicopee and Kelly Hebert and her husband David of Palmer; three grandchildren, Blaze Dolan of Chicopee, Matthew Hebert of Palmer and Brett Hebert of Ellington, CT. He also leaves two great grandchildren, Eleanor and Theodore. he also leaves his sister in law Kathleen Hurley

Niece Brenda Sheman and her husband Rodney, Nephew Anthony Montemagni and his wife Amy. He was predeceased by his nephew Nicholas Montemagni and his sisters Evelyn DeNino and Shirley Audette. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
