Obituary

Kenneth E McLean Jr 75 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer on August 15, 2025, in Roanoke Virginia.

Kenneth was born in Everett MA and raised in Malden MA. The husband of Betsy McLean, who survives and the son of Doris Russell and Kenneth E McLean, Sr, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Spinney.

He is survived by his siblings Steven McLean of Machias Maine, Robert McLean of Laconia, NH, and William McLean and his wife Debbie of Billerica, MA sister Janice Bramante and her husband Sal of Meredith, NH, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and siblings those left to cherish his memory are his children, John Leigh McLean and wife Janet, Diane MacMillan and her wife Jill, Kenneth E McLean III and his partner Kelly Maguire, Kerri MacWilliams and her husband Darin, Julie McLean and her partner Jay Drumheller, and Tracey Mclean; his pride and joy his grandchildren Anthony, Kayla, Kelli, Devin, Samantha, Sophia, Brian, Xander and Cameron five great grandchildren Jayden, Hazel, Riley, Isaac and Marceline.

Ken served in the US Army and served a tour in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He was a retired Teamster for the local 25. Ken was a salty dog; he loved fishing, boating, music, family vacations and Boston sports. In his younger days, loved going to Laconia on his Triumph motorcycle on Father’s Day weekend for bike week. He especially enjoyed get together with his kids, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, family was everything to him.

Family and Friends are welcomed to gather on September 21, 2025 from 2pm-5pm at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street Malden, MA
