Obituary

Anthony Mark “Tony” Anzalone, 62, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Gorham, Maine.

Born on February 12, 1963, in Everett, Massachusetts, Tony lived a life defined by compassion, service, and unwavering love for those around him. Tony graduated from Bellingham High School before continuing his education at Southern Maine Community College. His professional journey reflected his deep commitment to helping others and serving his community.

He began his career with the United States Postal Service and later pursued his calling as a registered nurse at Maine Medical Center. In his later years, he brought care and dedication to the Gorham School Transportation Department.

Throughout every chapter of his life, Tony was the embodiment of compassion—a man whose heart was as vast as it was generous. A devoted caregiver and selfless soul, he consistently put the needs of others before his own. Whether offering comfort during difficult times or sharing warm words of encouragement, Tony made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. His kindness radiated through every gesture and brought peace and reassurance to both of his families, whom he cherished deeply.

Tony found joy in many passions that reflected his curious spirit and creative mind. He was an avid photographer who captured beauty in everyday moments. He loved rock and mineral hunting—always eager to explore nature’s hidden treasures—and expressed himself through sculpting with a thoughtful hand. A keen observer of current events, he also enjoyed engaging with social media news platforms.

He is survived by his beloved partner Joshua Beane; his mother Irene Anzalone; sisters Linda Littlewood and her husband Chip, Gina Mara and her husband Steve, Lori Lavine and her husband Dave; brother Robert Anzalone; partner’s parents Millie and Eric Beane; partner’s sister Nichole Beane; and numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family who will carry forward his memory with love. Tony was predeceased by his father, Anthony Anzalone.

Tony’s legacy is one of tenderness, strength, and a life lived in service to others. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
