Terry Wright Culpepper, 66, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. James Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mystic Cemetery, in Mystic, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Culpepper was born March 23, 1959 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Elbert & Edna Mae Hutto Wright. She graduated from Irwin County High School in 1977 and attended Ben Hill Irwin Technical School. Mrs. Culpepper was admissions clerk at the Irwin County Hospital and was a paraprofessional and bus driver for the Irwin County School System. She loved fishing, growing flowers, playing cards and taking her grandchildren to Jekyll Island. Mrs. Culpepper was a member of Mystic Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Heather & Pete Skaggs of Fitzgerald, Bridgette & Clay Harper and Chad & Heather Culpepper, all of Irwin County; grandchildren: Cam Morgan & Shianna, Luke Morgan, Lizzie Morgan, Jack Culpepper, Clayton Harper, Caroline Harper, Lainee Skaggs, Henli Culpepper and Chandler Harper; great-grandson, Barrett Morgan; a sister, Vicki & Wayne Brown of Ocilla; a brother, Marty & Diane Wright of Ocilla; and three sisters-in-law: Bobbie Tompkins of Augusta, Jill York of Ocilla, and Marie & Dr. Milton Jones of Cordele. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Culpepper and an infant brother, Richard Allen Wright.
