Maggie Elizabeth “Libby” Tawzer, of Tawzerville died Sunday September 14th, 2025.
Mrs. Tawzer was born January 30th, 1937, in Cook County and was the daughter of J.C and Alma Cone of Lenox, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tawzer Sr; a son, Harold Tawzer Jr; a son-in -law, Clifford Domingue; a daughter-in-law, Duane Tawzer; two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Wayside Baptist Church. Steven Williford will officiate the service with burial following in the church cemetery. Tubby Tawzer, Keith Kendrck, Steve Flippo, Kenny McBrayer, Hal McBrayer, and John Cone will service as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Tawzer married her husband of 69 years, Harold Tawzer Sr., on March 9th, 1937, and went on to create a beautiful large family of four children, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Tawzer was a founding member of Wayside Baptist Missionary Church where she spent many days worshiping and volunteering at Vacation Bible school and church events. She loved to be outside working in her yard. She could be found on Monday nights watching her WWE wrestling and Saturdays at a dirt track or shopping with her girls. She retired in 2002 from Heatcraft Refrigeration to be home to take care of those great-grandbabies, and when they started school, she was the first in line with all the snacks, so they never had to wait. She loved her family and friends with all she had and did all she could to be sure her family knew the Lord.
Mrs. Tawzer is survived by two sons, Johnny and Tommy Tawzer; a daughter, Debbie Domingue, all of Tifton; ten grandchildren, Timmy (Jill) Domingue, Randy (Susan) Domingue, Charlene (Oli) Holt, Christie Bailey, Ashley (Jeffrey) Robbins, Eli Tawzer, Tyrel Tawzer, Autumn Tawzer, Stanley (Tonya) Harper, and Johnathon Tawzer; seventeen great-grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsea, Gauge, Casey, Reed, Sofia, Leslie, Adam, Justin, Kaycee, Jeffrey, Waylon, Taylor, Travis, Wesley, and Peyton; and two great-great grandchildren, Brooks and Hudson; as well as many in-laws and beloved nieces and nephews.
