Steven A. Olsen, 66

Dateline: Norton, MA

Steven A. Olsen, age 66, of Norton, passed away in the presence of his loving and adoring family on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Marcy (Fisken) Olsen, to whom he was happily wed for forty years at the time of her death on September 26, 2023.

Born in Boston, MA on November 4, 1958, he was a loving son of Albert S. “Buddy” Olsen and the late Violet M. (McCool) Olsen, who died on January 4, 2024.

Steven grew up in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and was a 1976 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School.

A resident of Norton for the past forty years, Steven worked as a carpenter by trade and his talents showed in every job he did. He loved spending time with family, his three cats, and his late wife Marcy, who was the love of his life. Steven was an accomplished dart thrower, was a member of the Minuteman Dart League in Boston and also liked drawing.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his devoted children, Thomas S. Olsen of Norton and Stephanie L. Beecher and her husband Mariano of Norwell. He was the cherished and proud grandfather of Remi Beecher and Eli Beecher. He was the dear brother of Philip Olsen and his wife Mary Doherty of Winchester, Debra Worrall of Norton and her late husband John Worrall, Catherine Whitney and her husband Glenn of North Attleboro, Robert Olsen and his wife Paula of Wilbraham, Jon Olsen and his wife Denise of West Orange, New Jersey and Brian Olsen of New York City, New York. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Saturday, September 27th at 2:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
