Natale “Frank” Tamasi, age 89, of Medford passed away on Thursday, September 11th. Born and raised in Carpinone, Italy, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Antonietta (Palladino) Tamasi. Frank immigrated to Canada in the early 1960s and settled in Medford, MA in 1969. He was employed as a machinist.
Frank loved spending time in his garden, and it was well known that he grew hundreds of tomatoes but never ate them. Most of all, Frank cherished the time he spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Ciccaglione) Tamasi, and the devoted father of John Tamasi and his wife Jennifer Mills Tamasi, and Sandra Tamasi. He was the loving grandfather of Giovanni and Ava Tamasi, John Mello and his girlfriend Allyson Ly, and Alex Kuran. Frank was the dear brother of Leonardo Tamasi and his wife Maria of Medford, Felice Tamasi and his wife Antoinetta, Maria Castrilli and her late husband Nicolo, all of Canada, and Yolanda Iammarone and her husband Mario of Italy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Frank’s family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, September 20th followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 11 am.
