Obituary

PARSONSFIELD- Martha “Marti” (Boetsma) Villineau, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Marti was born in Tucson, Arizona, to Nellie Sue King (deceased) and William S. King. Throughout her life she was known for her warmth, strength, and deep love for her family. A lifelong lover of animals, she cared deeply for the pets who shared her home and for the well-being of all creatures great and small. She loved spending time with her family, found joy in gardening, and was cherished for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Marti also had a special love for shopping, and nothing brought her more joy than finding little treasures for her beloved grandchildren.

Marti built a career as a professional bus driver, working with Concord Trailways, Custom Coach, Custom Coach of New England, and Ledgemere Transportation. She took great pride in her work, and her kindness and steady presence touched countless lives along the way.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Arthur Thomas “Tom” Villineau; her sister, Beth (Boetsma) Valley and her husband Jeff; her brother-in-law David Villineau and his wife Suzanne; and her sister-in-law Cathy (Villineau) Chick and her husband Paul Chick. She is also survived by her beloved children and their families:

Ryan Villineau and his wife Brittany, and their sons Jacob and Logan
Amanda Villineau, together with Corey
Kevin O’Malley and his wife Kelly, and their daughter Rhiannon
Kielie Mullins and her husband Matthew, and their sons Christopher and Elliot
Gary Villineau and his wife Katie, and their children Gavin, Camille, and Camden
She dearly loved these people and so many more, including her many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Marti touched countless lives—too numerous to mention—and cared deeply for each and every one of them.

She will also be dearly missed by her dogs, Belle and Murphy, and cats Amos, Gus, and Bella, who were constant companions and a source of joy in her life.

The family would like to thank the many medical staff who were tirelessly involved in her care on MFT4 at Maine Medical Center, as well as the security team for their compassion and support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Marti’s life will be announced in the near future
