C. Eileen Marshall, 84, of New Bedford died August 26, 2006 at Alden Court Nursing Center after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John J. and Anne (Bradley) Marshall, she was a life long resident of New Bedford.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Miss Marshall was formerly employed by the City of New Bedford Wire Department as head clerk for 39 years until her retirement.
She was graduate of Holy Family High School, class of 1938, Kinyon Secretarial School, and the Campbell Secretarial School. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Hyacinth Circle and the Massachusetts Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association
Miss Marshall enjoyed travel.
Survivors include two brothers, Joseph F. Marshall of Pinellas Park, Florida and Lawrence G. Marshall of Acushnet; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Almeida and aunt of the late Beth Almeida and James Almeida.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, August 29th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday, August 28th from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
