C. ROBERT HALL, JR. of Hingham, died on Saturday, Aug. 26th at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 74. Mr. Hall was born in Boston and was a lifelong resident of Hingham. He graduated from Hingham High School and attended Curry College in Milton. He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and then with the Hingham Fire Department for 33 years, retiring in the mid 1980's. For many years Mr. Hall was a member of the Edward Ball Cole American Legion Post # 120 in Hingham.
He leaves his wife, Freda (Watkins) Hall of Hingham, and his sister, Judith VonIderstein of Hanover. Also survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
A Prayer Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 30th at 11 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.
Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Bare Cove Fire Museum, P.O. Box 262, Hingham, MA 02043.
The interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
